Originally from Brazil, Dr. Sarmento brings a uniquely broad perspective to his practice, having lived across Alabama, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Texas before making Charlotte home. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Sarmento completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, one of the country’s most respected training programs. He has since achieved board certification as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. His clinical focus spans wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, and TMJ disorder management.
Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Dr. Sarmento is committed to making every patient feel heard and at ease, regardless of their background or experience with oral surgery.
