About us

Dr. Simone Gainey is a native of Houston, TX, and a graduate of M. B. Lamar High School. After high school and throughout college she worked for the YMCA in childcare. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2004 at Texas Southern University with a BS in Biology. Following the completion of her BS degree, she enrolled in the Alternative Certification Program with Alief ISD and the University of St. Thomas. She was an educator in Math and Science for 3 years prior to pursuing her dreams as a dentist.

Dr. Gainey attended Dental School at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. While in dental school, she was awarded the National Dental Association Foundation’s Colgate Palmolive Scholarship and The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Horace Wells Senior Student Award. After graduating in 2012 she returned to Houston and continued her studies. She completed a two-year General Practice Residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center Houston.

During her time in Houston, Dr. Gainey worked with medically compromised patients in need of organ transplants and special needs adults. She was awarded the Best Resident Award during her first year and Co-Chief Resident during her second year. Following the completion of her residency, she worked in community health at Good Neighbor Healthcare Center.
