About us
Dr. Chris A. Freels was born and raised in McAllen, Texas, and is proud to call the Rio Grande Valley home. Dr. Freels grew to appreciate the importance of community service from his father, Dr. Billy Freels, who was a very active member of the community and the Boys and Girls Club. Dr. Freels attended Sharyland schools and graduated from Sharyland High School in 1992, where he was actively involved with several academic organizations.
After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, Dr. Freels went on to complete a two – year orthodontic residency there as well. He is a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontics, and earned his board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics in 2005.
Dr. Chris A. Freels is also a husband and loving father. He and his wife are proud parents of three children.
Dr. Freels has provided service to the people of the Valley since 2004 and is looking forward to many more! He has been honored with Texas Monthly’s Super Dentist Award past 20 years and voted Readers choice from 2020-2025.
