Dr. Kim was born in New Jersey and shortly after, moved to South Korea where she spent 8 years of her childhood. Afterward, she lived in California before her family decided to move to Texas. After graduating from Lewisville High School, she attended the University of Texas at Austin where she obtained a degree in Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
