I’m confused… hear a lot of people here that had their temps screwed in at the same time -right after- they get their implants. My son was never offered that option, he was only given a flipper (which he hates and doesn’t wear) and told implants need to heal first for 6-8 months before temporary crowns can be put in…

Temp bridges can be mounted crowns can not until fully healed
J B. Lasby what he said
J B. Lasby thanks! Didn’t know this..
Not every provider offers immediate load implants. They require different placement and are essentially a different procedure 🙂
Even experienced providers do delayed load many options are at play. Most of the time temps can be on the same day unless there is a lot of bone grafting
I had teeth five days after the implants. Soft food only for six weeks but all good so far
He probably needs to regrow bone before getting the implants placed.
My dentist won’t do immediate load placements either. I asked since it’s a tooth missing in the front but they said no 😕 I’m getting a flipper instead
I just had this issue Friday, I couldn’t get my implant put in because they had to do a bone graft and I ended up with a flipper too which I hate, but my dentist also made me an Essix retainer, it’s like a plastic Invisalign, much better! Can’t eat with it, but can drink and it doesn’t impair your speech and it looks normal.
I was supposed to get mine loaded, but during the surgery the surgeon found that my bone on the upper was way too soft to do immediate load. He was only going to do ao4 but made the decision in my best interests, and placed 6 and then they are making me wait 4 months to do a scan and see how the bone is doing. I’m stuck with the removable upper until then. I’m disappointed, but grateful for them doing what was best for me.
I had my temps put on 4 months after my implants were placed.
The longer you wait to load anything on those implants the better. I waited 9 months but did request temp teeth in advance though.
