Does it hurt to have implant placed. The dentist I found doesn’t put you out. I’m scared to death. I have teeth pulled before without being put out.

Extractions definitely hurt wayyy more than implants
Yes it hurts, but it shouldn’t hurt that much because they should give you something to numb you for the most part right before they do it.
I didn’t feel anything but the shots 😊 I had 4 on bottom last month 🥰
Once the tooth is out, no nerve to send message to brain.
Didn’t hurt me at all. Had only numbing and was absolutely fine
The extraction hurt so much more than getting the implant. I was sore for a while, but didn’t even need painkillers.
Yeah cause of the local anesthesia shot
I didn’t feel anything and had no pain afterwards only swelling
My orthodontist puts me to sleep. I have had two surgeries so far, and have at least 4 more. I was told it takes 16-18 months, but it can take longer sometimes.
The needles to numb you are what hurt. My dentist wouldn’t put me out either. The numbing needles had me screaming. I hate that part.
Tara M. , i had the same thoughts Tara… just the shots, in the inside of the gum…
Connie R. ughhhh I know. And the palette. I’m going for my uncovering in 2 weeks and so nervous about that part.
Tara M. , The rest was a piece of cake for me, i wish you luck !!
I was awake. For me, there was minimal pain even after the numbing stuff wore off. Somewhat sore but not very bad. I went all by myself & drove myself home afterwards. Good luck!
Please don’t worry, it’s less painful than an extraction. I had local anesthetic and took painkillers every four hours for a week. I only had mild discomfort. Don’t plan on doing anything too energetic as that will make it throb and sleep propped up for a few nights so you don’t swell. I had a bone graft and sinus lift at the same time as having the implant put in, this was done three months after the original extraction. Nothing has happened that would put me off having another other than the cost 🙂
Wasn’t a big deal for me 💕 same as any other dental procedure, didn’t feel it.
I got all my implants fully awake, it’s nice but mostly the sensation, not the pain itself.
Needles do hurt especially in the roof of the mouth
I was sedated but not asleep plus local. It was very mild controlled with Advil and Tylenol.
For a single implant there’s nothing to worry about!
Needle in the roof of the mouth hurts like hell, even with the numbing gel.
If they numb you properly on the top of the gum first, the one in the roof of the mouth shouldn’t hurt, it’s a bit uncomfortable for about 5 seconds but that’s it. I’ve had a few of them now and this is coming from someone who gets sedated as a rule for a filling at my normal dentist as my anxiety Is through the roof. I’d go through this whole process again if I had to and I’m not even finished yet. The worst bit for me is any drilling, can’t stand it. Implants placed were nothing in comparison.
How about laughing gas?
The dental surgeon knocked me out and for that I am grateful.
Didn’t me had 12 in one day plus tooth removal. Had lot anxiety.
no it doesn’t
The only pain you feel is when you get the needle to numb the area – which only lasts a few seconds
