  1. The only thing I would be concerned about is if there are any issues you will need to fly back to Turkey. Im not sure how far you are from there but the savings could end up not really saving you at all . I had my work done in another state but I can pretty easily get there if I needed to. Also research, have you read reviews, spoken to other patients of the clinic etc

    1. I don’t know what you mean by that. If you are talking about getting new teeth or a prothesis, then I would agree that Turkey is one of the best countries for these kinds of procedures. But if you are talking about just repairing your teeth or getting them aligned, I think there are a lot of options locally to choose from. I, for example, have had unaligned teeth for the longest time. I tried getting braces, but it was too painful for me. I then found Invisalign and read about its effects on adults on https://smiledoctors.com/treatment/invisalign-for-adults/ and then got them at a reasonable price.

  2. I used to live in Turkey but now in the Turkish north of Cyprus. I have had excellent dentists in Turkey in the past. I have had 12 implants placed by my dentist in North Cyprus. Again excellent. I don’t think you should have any worries about the treatment you will receive. Good luck.

  3. Personally the only time I would have work done in Turkey is if I lived there and/or was able to travel if the need presented. While I have seen some good and obviously skilled work there are lots of examples of amateur and achingly poor dental work that floods holiday chat forums.Said already I know but what appears cheap and cost effective can turn out to be anything but that in the long run.

  4. I’m not concerned about the lady I am going with I feel confident & have seen amazing reviews & she can’t do enough I am one of those mega annoying 500 questions people & she hasn’t told me to pee off yet lol. The issue o have is I can’t afford to have this done in the uk there is no way so turkey & other cheaper countries are my only option & the current state of them is a sorry one if I don’t act soon I’ll be in an even worse situation. X

      1. Denise L. cosmetic beach. It’s a package all in transfers hotel everything except flight included x

  5. What if you started treatment then had problems but can’t get back there due to lockdowns? trust be being stuck half done is not fun it’s hard enough being in the uk.

    1. Tabby S. I couldn’t afford the uk so it’s a risk I would have to take Which is awful but my teeth affect me so much mentally I just can’t take no more x

      1. Amy A. ok but uk dentists don’t like touching other people’s work. hope it works for you but surely leaving the country isn’t possible right now?

          1. Amy A. it’s probably safer to say you hope you are going in May. We have no degree of certainty regarding travel abroad to my knowledge and while as a country we are rolling out a Vaccine program, many other countries are not in the same situation as us. Wish you luck though with whatever you pursue x

            1. Sally M. yes of course i totally get that currently no idea if the world will be back to normal or not but I would hope so would be lovely thank you c

              1. Amy A. it doesn’t matter how many questions, I’m here to help.
It’s the fear of the unknown.
But I assure you I will look after you and you will have amazing dentistry with our team.

        1. Tabby S. I’m in that very situation and have been cancelled twice due to covid. Tbh it’s not a problem the temps are holding up just fine and I’ll go when I can. Lots of people in the same boat. My dentist has had a visual look and said the temps are doing good and nothing like temp crowns we get here in the U.K.!

            1. Tabby S. my dentist is NHS and she was quite happy to check my temps in between visits and has already said she wants to book me in with the hygienist once perms are fitted to ensure they’re looked after. I think it depends on your dentist….
You seem very negative about travelling abroad. Have you actually had treatment abroad?

          1. Justine W. your lucky you must live in a good area, not negative just pointing out the facts esp at the mo its hard enough when you have issues in the UK can only imagine if you had to fly to+from to sort the issues out.

        2. Tabby S. every time I read dentist don’t like touching other dentist work it makes me crazy! I know you are right but it just bothers me. They can charge to fix it so at the end of the day they made money.

            1. Tabby S. I’m having trouble with local dentists not wanting to work on another dentistry work ! I have two post in now but can no longer see the dentist that placed them ( HIPPA violation) now I can’t find anyone to finish and place crowns !

  6. Uk dentistry from my experience and research is like the wild west
No real structure for costs across the board
Most NHS dentist are only interested in doing the quick money making jobs
And finally not enough regulation when it comes to hygienists and actual protocols to deal with people with problematic teeth.
As long as you’ve researched as much as you can and take the rights steps with hygiene after the operation then go for it Amy A.

  7. I was the same Amy, I thought I couldn’t afford uk private, I was looking at turkey, Croatia, Romania, Poland, but then I started panicking what if something went wrong, its not like hopping in the car and your there, so I researched uk private, ive got 4 implants on top, each tooth gets its own post ect, I also had bone graft, and my other teeth that r ok I had composite bonding on, it was expensive but I paid in installments and I paid £200 insurance so if anything goes wrong they do it all for free, good luck in Turkey, I hope it goes smoothly..xx

    1. Paula Taylor L. yes see I’m Berkshire right near ascot racecourse they think we rich down here so it’s a lot more expensive 😂

      1. Amy A., look outside your area, what about travelling by train or bus? Or driving, honestly it gave me peace of mind to know that I didn’t have to try and get a flight back if something went wrong plus you are not insured abroad and British dentists don’t touch work that’s done overseas, but its your choice hun, do a little more research of private dentists further up the country, good luck to you.xx

    2. Paula Taylor L. thanks I am seeing my regular dentist on 02/02 to see if they have any advice. X

      1. Amy A. all the best hun, hope you get it sorted, my dentist is fab, look in Yorkshire, as I said come up by bus or train, hotels aren’t expensive, mines called k3 dental, you can give them a ring they will go through, treatment, prices etc over the phone..xx

      2. Amy A. I went turkey sept 5th and had all abundance’s fitted for my implants which will be fitted in April but I did all research went to this dentist and ended up with infection after infection my face kept swelling up like elephant man 😭 they haven’t done nothing or even said sorry I’ve been in and out of A&E and had to get some removed now am getting them finished with someone else so just be careful x

        1. Danielle S. that’s awful where did u go? I’m so sorry this happened to you! I would be devastated x

          1. Amy A. I was in Antalya I won’t put the name up yet as once am all finished with the new dentist doing them am leaving them the most awful reviews everywhere ! But if someone on here mentions the name I will let them no… they kept trying to blame me cos said I never started the antibiotics the same day as treatment but I was so swollen 7 hours in a dentist chair I couldn’t even sip water I went hotel and straight to sleep started antibiotics soon as I woke up I’ve had 8lots of antibiotics since no help.. my dentist in A&E has been amazing here just awaiting one more implant to be removed on top left as it’s sat on lining of my sinus which is causing the recurring infections I’ve sent all my docs notes etc to turkey and they still not said sorry they just reply please come back we fix this!!!! I went back just before Xmas and they took one implant out wen they should of taken two!!

            1. Was it smile dental turkey? Only askin as I’ve been looking at them to get work done. Iv only really looked at 2 places so far . There’s so many so iv no idea where to go

            2. Hi Danielle
Sorry to hear you had such an horrendous time. My husband is planning to go to Bronze clinic in Antalya, have you heard of it? .

            3. I am looking to go to Antalya for dental implants.
Which dental clinic did you attend?

  8. Yep. Had mine done at Attelia dental. My finals have been cancelled a number of times due to covid, flights etc but really happy with the work so far! Temps are amazing.

        1. Hi im in the same position had x3 flights cancelled had first procedure sept almost a year instead of 6 months 😢 can not fault attelia though they were amazing! Van not wait to get back for finals 🙏🤞🤞

        1. Justine W. I thought it was 3+ months for implants however I’m guessing it varies depending on the person

          1. Jeffrey O. no they can do them on the first day but you have to go back for the crowns

  9. Hi Amy I am in Scotland and was quoted £36,000 😔 I’m now looking at Turkey also please keep us updated thanks x

    1. Pauline G. I have been talking to a lady called Michelle at cosmetic beach & I am booking with her today I am booking flights paying deposit of £500 then I pay remainder when I am finished & happy she has loads of pages & reviews I’ll see if I can find her name to tag her x

        1. Pauline G. obviously I haven’t had any work done yet but so far I am happy she has given me 10 ton of info I know exactly what is going in my mouth & how I feel happy to go with her just anxious about so far from home & scared of the dentist 😂😂

    2. Pauline G. i went to Turkey. Great experience. all on 4 on tops and 2 implants om bottom..only thing is i wouldn’t pay any money up front. I didn’t pay anything until the first treatment was done.

    1. Pauline G. yes I go 8th July & I changed who I am using completely I’m so excited. How about you? X

      1. Amy A. my head is buggered been 2 5 dental practitioners and all a fortune 🙄 thinking of Dental Care in Turkey. Where r u going ? Xxx

        1. Pauline G. I’m going with Merve I see ur friends
With her I did message u. I know a few people who use there my friend used them & although his so happy with his teeth he said day 1 he spent 7 hours

    1. Tabby S. I’ve had 2 quotes 1st one was £33,000 I nearly fell off the chair…not sure if it is because I have gum disease. I have another appointment tomorrow at another dentist fingers crossed it cheaper much cheaper.

          1. Pauline G. I have 6+5 just waiting for lockdowns/restrictions to ease so I can possibly get finished.

  10. Hi, I’m the same as you, myself and my sister are hoping to get over in the later part of this year, I have nothing to lose by going as there’s just no way I can afford it here , its either that or just a partial forever so I have to at least try, done my research too , I will honestly cry with happiness, terrified implants will fail but as I said I’ve nothing to lose xx

    1. Lindsay N. I have been told I wouldn’t need any implants could bridge the gaps so I have even less than u to lose I think where are u going what are u paying etc? Thanks x

      1. Amy A. thats great news, my sister is the same, she only needs crowns and veneers, few extractions but they’ve recommended she get these done here first so she only needs one visit, I will have to go back after 6 months of healing, not great as you can’t just nip to Turkey lol but I HAVE to try as I’m absolutely miserable, we are going with smile dental in antalya, more so because I wanted to make sure they had an oral surgeon and used straumann implants, trust pilot reviews are great too, ill be soooo nervous as I’ve got a lot of work to do but I’m hoping for a good outcome, based on my xray and photos im having 4 implants and crowns and veneers on top (then a healing temporary denture) then veneers and crowns on the bottom, altogether 5k but id imagine things could change a bit when you’re actually there and have proper scan etc, I say life’s to short and go for it xx

  11. I just paid $25,000 for a full permanent upper. I spoke to a gentleman from Brazil and his mother went back home and paid just under $5000 for the same thing with the best dentist they have😣

    1. Lori E. in the STATES ITS 12,000. To 15,000. If you want implant upper you can pull off Or 18,000. To 20,000. If you get the ones we’re dr can only pull off.

      1. They may use different size threads on the implants than they do in the US… So you might have to keep going back.

  12. you do know that you’re gonna have to go back for adjustments/cleanings/etc, right?

  13. Hi Amy A. you seeking for information I will send you and private message. Hope to help.

      1. Amy A. please pm me, someone told a relative about Turkey. But we had no leads. Thank you. God speed.

Our Story

Dental Country was born out of a simple yet profound idea: to bridge the gap between dental professionals and the public by providing an all-encompassing platform for dental knowledge. Founded in 2013 by Dr. Sean Myran, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Dental Country started as a response to the growing need for a reliable and comprehensive online resource where both dental professionals and everyday people could find trustworthy, accurate, and well-researched information about dentistry and oral health.

Dr. Myran had witnessed first-hand the complexities faced by dental professionals, from managing successful practices to staying up-to-date with the latest dental technology and products. At the same time, he noticed how challenging it was for patients to find accurate, digestible information about dental procedures, oral hygiene products, and how to choose the right dentist. This dual perspective inspired him to create Dental Country, an online space that could cater to both audiences.

What started as a small blog quickly grew into a multifaceted platform with a wide range of dental resources—from practice management tips to in-depth product reviews and educational articles on oral health. Over the years, Dental Country has expanded its offerings to meet the evolving needs of dental professionals and patients alike. Today, it is one of the most trusted names in dental content, recognized for its dedication to quality, transparency, and accessibility.

Located in Lake Forest, CA, Dental Country has reached thousands of readers across the country and continues to grow. Through collaboration with dental experts, product reviewers, and a passionate team of healthcare copywriters, Dental Country has remained committed to its mission of providing well-rounded, authoritative dental content that helps everyone—from seasoned dental practitioners to families looking to improve their oral health.

At Dental Country, we pride ourselves on a rigorous and thoughtful approach to creating dental content. Our methodology is rooted in a commitment to accuracy, transparency, and expertise, ensuring that every piece of content we publish meets the highest standards of quality. Whether we are producing an article for patients seeking information on a dental procedure or conducting an in-depth review of dental products for industry professionals, our approach remains consistent: provide reliable, actionable insights backed by research and professional experience.

Every piece of content begins with extensive research. Our team of copywriters and dental experts gather information from peer-reviewed studies, respected dental publications, and input from dental professionals. We also consult product specifications and customer feedback when reviewing dental tools, equipment, and services to provide a well-rounded view. Accuracy is our top priority, and each article is carefully fact-checked and edited to ensure it provides readers with clear, actionable, and reliable information.

We understand that dental professionals have different needs than the general public, which is why we produce tailored content for both audiences. For dentists and practice owners, we provide practice management tips, dental marketing strategies, and product reviews that are critical to their day-to-day operations. We go beyond the basics by offering detailed analyses of emerging trends and innovations in the dental industry, helping professionals stay ahead of the curve. For the public, we focus on making complex dental topics easy to understand. Our goal is to demystify dental care, empowering patients to take control of their oral health and make well-informed decisions.

This network will allow for peer-to-peer learning and foster a community of shared knowledge and support, helping professionals stay updated on the latest industry trends and innovations. We envision this space as a hub for dental experts to exchange ideas and help each other succeed in a competitive and rapidly evolving field.

For patients, we are expanding our content library to include more multimedia resources like videos, infographics, and interactive guides. These resources will cover everything from understanding dental procedures to improving daily oral hygiene habits. By offering a more visual and interactive learning experience, we aim to make dental care more approachable and less intimidating for the general public.

Our long-term vision is to become the most comprehensive online platform for dental education. We aim to be the first place both dental professionals and patients turn to for trusted, up-to-date information. To support this, we are exploring partnerships with leading dental schools, healthcare organizations, and technology companies that will allow us to provide cutting-edge educational tools, research, and data-driven insights.

The future of Dental Country is bright, and we look forward to continuing to serve the dental community and the public for many years to come.
