I am curious do you maintain an newsletter email list, and stay in contact with your list? Do you track your open rates?

Yes. Through lighthouse 360.
is your open rate good?
Amber M. not too good honestly but we keep sending them anyway. Since it’s email, they are free and pre-templated so it’s literally one click. If I had to spend hours on this I’d probably say no bueno.
We have several clients that we write for. It’s a service many people skip but I feel there’s value in staying consistent.
Open rates are often 40-50% with the right headlines and content
Nomi W. happy to give some insight here.
The subject lines have to be something I’d open myself. Sometimes a simple “thank you” gets opened more than a catchy phrase / pun.
Another is an important announcement or news type email.
Other times, I’ll send out an email highlighting a team member or new service or technology.
We use mail chimp.
Amy M. I love mailchimp. It’s what I use too for myself and some clients that don’t have patient communication systems. My only concern is that you have to automatically update the list periodically in the dental office.
Grace R. we have email in our practice Mgmt system that we use. Mailchimp is what we use for lead gen.
I think mail chimp takes the cake for this one. One thing you can try is sending traffic from your email list to a new blog post on the practice’s website. Your building your SEO with new articles while at the same time giving your list a reason why you sent an email. It’s a good way to keep your list fresh
