Why do these healthcare people think its a luxury or cosmetic job to have teeth when we need that just like air to survive?

This is my first time ever making a post. I never in my 42 years had any dental issues but the moment I lost my mom I lost myself and got so depressed and didn’t realize until I found myself in a very dark place. Years after that I was involved in a hit and run car accident and at that time I was only a passenger and my fiancé (ex now) dumped me and took insurance money…Since then my tooth has been breaking like never before and decaying but without insurance its been a long lonely hard road. I miss being happy and smiling besides eating food without judgment. I work as a CSR at a gas station and it hurts my soul that these people judge me and look at me like if I was a junkie and I never in my life used no type of drugs. Wish dental wasn’t so expensive and all. I’m so tired of all the stares whisper and dealing with horrible pain n infection. I try to see dentist but apparently no availability in my area and all they can do is place me on a call waitlist. Why do these healthcare people think its an luxury or cosmetic job to have teeth when we need that just like air to survive

  5. I know exactly how you feel. My issue is not as apparent because I had health insurance at the time they first pulled all my uppers. So, my dentures got me through even though they didn’t correct for a horrible overbite. I now know all my lowers must be removed, but I dread it to the 10th, as they won’t be implants and I heard lower dentures are the most difficult of all. At 66, I’m hardly able to afford implants. I wish you the best young man. If there is a dental school near you see if they can put you on a special program. Very often the schools will offer an affordable option if you are willing to spend more time and allow a student to work on your teeth. Good luck, young man!!🥰💛💛🧡💚💚

    Everytime I go through a stressful period my teeth decay even more. I’m trying not to stress and hope I find someone to help me. I hope you get the help you need as well.

  8. Hi sorry to hear this, I’ve had similar experience … Look into traveling abroad… UK and America are silly expensive. A few friends have been to Turkey and had fabulous work done at a quarter of UK prices.

  11. So sorry to hear about the loss of your mom yrs ago that put you in that place .Maybe try setting small goals of saving ( I know its hard) and would dentures be an option for you instead of the more expensive implants?
