Joseph Z. Yousefian, DMD, MS, PS is a board-certified orthodontic specialist who provides comprehensive dental treatment for children, teens, and adults. He treats a wide array of complex issues such as temporomandibular joint (TMJ)-related jaw pain and headaches, bite problems, snoring and sleep apnea, and facial aging at his clinic conveniently located in Bellevue, Washington.
Dr. Yousefian began his formal education at Washington University in St. Louis and received his degree of dentistry in 1987. By 1991, he had completed his post-graduate training in orthodontics at Ohio State University in Columbus, earning a master of science in biology and another in physical anthropology.
Dr. Yousefian has served in many areas of academic teaching and consulting and has been involved in numerous research projects. He travels both nationally and internationally to deliver lectures to universities, dental and medical societies, and study clubs, and has contributed to more than 30 publications and articles in scientific journals and textbooks.
Dr. Yousefian is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and has won numerous awards including the American Association of Orthodontists Award of Special Merit.
