He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Howard University in Washington, DC, followed by an internship at the Boston Veterans Administration Hospital. Returning to Howard University, he completed a certificate program in orthodontics, where he specialized in diagnosing and treating orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic conditions. Throughout his education and training, Dr. Yurfest received multiple awards recognizing clinical excellence and service.
