Introduction Dr. Yurfest has been creating healthy, confident smiles in Atlanta for more than three decades. As a founding member of West Paces Ferry Orthodontics, he is known for his gentle demeanor, meticulous eye for detail and commitment to treating every patient like family. Patients of all ages appreciate his reassuring presence and the time he takes to answer questions and explain treatment options. Education & Experience Dr. Yurfest’s path to orthodontics began with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Howard University in Washington, DC, followed by an internship at the Boston Veterans Administration Hospital. Returning to Howard University, he completed a certificate program in orthodontics, where he specialized in diagnosing and treating orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic conditions. Throughout his education and training, Dr. Yurfest received multiple awards recognizing clinical excellence and service. These distinctions underscore his dedication to the profession and his commitment to delivering outstanding patient care. He is board‑certified and keeps his skills sharp through ongoing continuing education. Over the course of his career he has treated thousands of cases, ranging from simple alignment issues to complex bite and jaw discrepancies.
