Dr. Richard Smith received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from Pennsylvania State University. He received his DDS from The University of Colorado, Health Science Center, School of Dentistry graduating Cum Laude and his Certificate in Endodontics from Medical College of Georgia, School of Dental Medicine. After graduating dental school, Dr. Smith was commissioned in the United States Navy as a Staff Dental Officer from 1994-1997 and a Staff Endodontist from 1997-2001. During his military service LCDR Smith was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy Achievement Medal with one Bronze Service Star. He has been in private practice since 2001. He has had his research published in the Journal of Endodontics. Dr. Smith has taught endodontics at Marquette University School of Dentistry and The University of Colorado Health Science Center, School of Dentistry. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania.
