About us
Dr. Schootman is from O’Fallon, MO where he attended Fort Zumwalt West High School. He continued his education in the St. Louis area by attending Saint Louis University for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Schootman received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Marquette University, where he met his wife, and later completed his residency at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Schootman is highly passionate about implants, bone grafts, and corrective jaw surgery.
Dr. Schootman met his wife while attending dental school in Milwaukee. In his free time, Dr. Schootman enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their pup, Oakley—whether hiking, camping, or paddleboarding together, often with Oakley riding on board. When the weather is nice, you will often find Dr. Schootman on the trails, either biking or running. He also loves traveling abroad and experiencing different cultures.
