About us
Dr. Langford and Dr. Ringer are orthodontists, distinguishing them as professionals in the field of orthodontics. Orthodontists are dentists who have decided to devote themselves solely to developing smiles through braces or other appliances.
While many dentists nowadays offer orthodontic services, their training is limited to short seminars, and orthodontists spend three years in orthodontic training after dental school before becoming certified to practice as a specialist in Orthodontics. During this training, our doctors learned how to effectively manage tooth movement (orthodontics) and guide facial development (dentofacial orthopedics).
Dr. Allen Langford attended the University of Tennessee for his undergraduate work. He then attended the University of Tennessee Dental School, graduating in 1998. Then, he was accepted to the University of Tennessee School of Orthodontics, completing his residency in June of 2001.
Dr. Ringer joined the Langford Orthodontics team in 2023. He is bilingual – fluent in Spanish and English. With his commitment to excellence and a genuine love for his craft, Dr. Ringer is excited to embark on this new chapter, providing exceptional orthodontic care to the community he proudly calls home.
