About us
Dr. Wendy Humphrey grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. In 2003 Dr. Wendy received her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry . Following dental school, she completed a year-long general practice residency at the University of Kentucky. This was followed by a four-year combined residency and faculty position at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where she received her certificate in pediatric dentistry. This rigorous training in a clinical and hospital setting helped her acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the needs of children. In addition to her training, Dr. Humphrey is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry . To reach this Diplomate status, Dr. Humphrey had to successfully pass rigorous written and oral examinations.
Dr. Wendy’s fondness for dentistry came at a very young age when she was a frequent patient in her dentist’s office. Her mother, a hygienist, encouraged her to pursue dentistry as a profession. Despite having 11 primary teeth extracted, she still loved going to the dentist. She is passionate about educating her families in preventing dental disease and helping her patients achieve a beautiful and healthy smile.
