About us
Dr. Andrew S. Huttula hails from a Navy upbringing and grew up mostly on the East Coast but also spent several wonderful years as a child in Naples, Italy. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee at Memphis College of Dentistry in 1999 and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy upon graduation. Dr. Huttula then embarked on his own Navy adventure, beginning with a one-year general practice residency at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia.
After completing his residency, Dr. Huttula served with the Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, deploying to Norway and Kuwait. Oorah! He then went on to complete his endodontic residency training at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, earning both his endodontic specialty certificate and a master’s degree in 2005. After fulfilling his obligation to the Navy in 2008, Dr. Huttula relocated to Huntsville, Alabama, his wife’s hometown, to begin practicing in the civilian world.
Dr. Huttula maintains memberships in the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Southern Endodontic Study Group (SESG), and the Huntsville-Madison County Dental Society (HMCDS).
Dr. Huttula provides all aspects of endodontic care in Huntsville, Alabama. He earns continuing education credits on a regular basis, surpassing the requirements of the State of Alabama.
