Dr. Samuel J. Borgmeyer was born and raised in South St. Louis City. Dr. Sam attended DePaul University in Chicago, majoring in biology while being involved in an a capella group and graduating in 2006. After college, he attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and graduated in 2011. After finishing his education, he moved back to Chicago and worked as a dentist at Lawndale Christian Health Center, eventually being promoted to be the director of his clinic. Through this experience, he was also able to work to increase the quality of oral health care to those who needed it most and to advocate for access to care across the city. At Lawndale Christian health center, he had the privilege of being adjunct faculty at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry, educating countless young dentists in their best practices. While in Chicago, he also worked at a general and cosmetic dental office called Compass Dental, fine-tuning his cosmetic and general dentistry.
