Dental Country was born out of a simple yet profound idea: to bridge the gap between dental professionals and the public by providing an all-encompassing platform for dental knowledge. Founded in 2013 by Dr. Sean Myran, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Dental Country started as a response to the growing need for a reliable and comprehensive online resource where both dental professionals and everyday people could find trustworthy, accurate, and well-researched information about dentistry and oral health.
Dr. Myran had witnessed first-hand the complexities faced by dental professionals, from managing successful practices to staying up-to-date with the latest dental technology and products. At the same time, he noticed how challenging it was for patients to find accurate, digestible information about dental procedures, oral hygiene products, and how to choose the right dentist. This dual perspective inspired him to create Dental Country, an online space that could cater to both audiences.
What started as a small blog quickly grew into a multifaceted platform with a wide range of dental resources—from practice management tips to in-depth product reviews and educational articles on oral health. Over the years, Dental Country has expanded its offerings to meet the evolving needs of dental professionals and patients alike. Today, it is one of the most trusted names in dental content, recognized for its dedication to quality, transparency, and accessibility.
Located in Lake Forest, CA, Dental Country has reached thousands of readers across the country and continues to grow. Through collaboration with dental experts, product reviewers, and a passionate team of healthcare copywriters, Dental Country has remained committed to its mission of providing well-rounded, authoritative dental content that helps everyone—from seasoned dental practitioners to families looking to improve their oral health.
At Dental Country, we pride ourselves on a rigorous and thoughtful approach to creating dental content. Our methodology is rooted in a commitment to accuracy, transparency, and expertise, ensuring that every piece of content we publish meets the highest standards of quality. Whether we are producing an article for patients seeking information on a dental procedure or conducting an in-depth review of dental products for industry professionals, our approach remains consistent: provide reliable, actionable insights backed by research and professional experience.
Every piece of content begins with extensive research. Our team of copywriters and dental experts gather information from peer-reviewed studies, respected dental publications, and input from dental professionals. We also consult product specifications and customer feedback when reviewing dental tools, equipment, and services to provide a well-rounded view. Accuracy is our top priority, and each article is carefully fact-checked and edited to ensure it provides readers with clear, actionable, and reliable information.
We understand that dental professionals have different needs than the general public, which is why we produce tailored content for both audiences. For dentists and practice owners, we provide practice management tips, dental marketing strategies, and product reviews that are critical to their day-to-day operations. We go beyond the basics by offering detailed analyses of emerging trends and innovations in the dental industry, helping professionals stay ahead of the curve. For the public, we focus on making complex dental topics easy to understand. Our goal is to demystify dental care, empowering patients to take control of their oral health and make well-informed decisions.
What also sets Dental Country apart is our commitment to neutrality. We are unbiased in our reviews and recommendations. While we do accept sponsored content and partnerships, these are clearly disclosed, and our editorial integrity is never compromised. Our readers know they can trust us to provide fair, well-balanced evaluations of dental products, services, and companies.
Ultimately, our approach to dental content is built on the foundation of trust. We are not just a source of information; we are an educational partner for dental professionals and patients alike, committed to helping them navigate the ever-evolving world of dentistry.
As Dental Country continues to grow, we remain deeply committed to expanding our platform in ways that meet the changing needs of our audience. Dentistry is a dynamic field, with new technologies, techniques, and products emerging every year. We believe in staying at the forefront of these changes, ensuring that our content not only keeps up but also leads the way in educating our readers.
In the near future, we plan to introduce even more innovative tools and resources for both dental professionals and patients. One of our most exciting upcoming projects is the launch of interactive features designed to improve the user experience. This includes personalized content suggestions based on individual preferences, allowing dental professionals to access the most relevant practice management tips and product reviews for their specific needs. Patients will also benefit from personalized recommendations on oral hygiene products, helping them find the best solutions for their unique dental health requirements.
In addition to content personalization, we are working to develop a community platform where dental professionals can connect, share insights, and collaborate on best practices. This network will allow for peer-to-peer learning and foster a community of shared knowledge and support, helping professionals stay updated on the latest industry trends and innovations. We envision this space as a hub for dental experts to exchange ideas and help each other succeed in a competitive and rapidly evolving field.
For patients, we are expanding our content library to include more multimedia resources like videos, infographics, and interactive guides. These resources will cover everything from understanding dental procedures to improving daily oral hygiene habits. By offering a more visual and interactive learning experience, we aim to make dental care more approachable and less intimidating for the general public.
Our long-term vision is to become the most comprehensive online platform for dental education. We aim to be the first place both dental professionals and patients turn to for trusted, up-to-date information. To support this, we are exploring partnerships with leading dental schools, healthcare organizations, and technology companies that will allow us to provide cutting-edge educational tools, research, and data-driven insights.
As we look to the future, we remain grounded in our core values: a commitment to quality, a focus on empowering our readers, and a passion for transforming the way dental information is delivered. The future of Dental Country is bright, and we look forward to continuing to serve the dental community and the public for many years to come.

I am about, in Mexicali and the best think is that he takes US dental / health insurance. As soon as I get prices, will let know.
Gustavo A. L.
That’s interesting, because I was told by the first dental company down there with a price of $9000.00 that they did not take health insurance, 😋
I believe it was Cancun cosmetic dentistry
Carol S. check out Smile makeover in playa del Carman Mexico 🇲🇽
George M. did u have work done there? If so what and we’re you happy with results?
They take us dental insurance?
Carol F. , well I learned some more information ..
Carol F. my dentist in Cancun was able to actually claim some of the work as medically necessary. I had to pay out of pocket but received a very nice check from my insurance company when I got home. But they ran what they could through dental and I filled out reimbursement forms. Worst they can do is deny it you fight it as long as possible but I had amazing work without any complications so far. My temps on the top feeling amazing and better than without them. I have a bridge on the bottom but they recommended not wearing them too much to reduce bone loss which is fine it’s for the very back teeth and don’t care for them….probably because I haven’t really wore them much
Darci P. wow lucky that ur insurance ( medical) or dental? Insurance is the dentist in cancun
Carol F. I consider myself very fortunate they paid anything honestly. But the office was willing to help do the paperwork and documentation for it. Yes my dental only paid out about $400 but whatever I’ll take it. Medical paid for the surgery part because of an infection. And it was the dental office in Cancun that helped me process everything for my insurance here in the states
Darci P. .. if you don’t mind me asking who did. You go to , because I have insurance as well.
Carol S. i got all the reimbursement forms from my insurance. I was not expecting any payment and I know given my certain circumstances I think my insurance was happy to pay some vs a major hospital bill after they found a huge abscess that I am so lucky that I wasn’t in the hospital back here at home. But I did pay out of pocket initially. I had 5 implants placed up top, temps made for the top and I’m only missing the molars on the bottom so not as much work on the bottom. And one root canal….which is $250 out of pocket. (WAY cheaper than what my husband just paid or his which maxed out his dental and still had to pay almost $2,000 out of pocket. I should say the dental insurance only paid some towards the temps and medical paid for the surgical part but implants are still considered cosmetic and they wouldn’t touch (which is stupid and they need to get with the times!)
Darci P. does wearing the bridge promote bone loss?
Carmen M. in my particular case I’m already low on bone in the one side and I was told that yeah it would just make it worse. And I haven’t needed them for “social events” since I work and go home and masks are still required at work and frankly people in my state haven’t learned to cough without practically spewing spit everywhere….so I mask up all the time. (Thank you introvert me!)
Also, Darci P., if you don’t mind my asking, what insurance do you have?
Carmen M. Blue Cross of Idaho.
Darci P. where did you go ?
Regina M T. Cancun Dental Specialists.
Darci P. what’s the dentist name and information?
Sis F. I went to Cancun Dental Specialists. I saw several that each has their own specialty, oral surgeon and dentist that specializes in reconstruction (basically he oversaw the whole team/process)and then one dentist that specialized in the dentures. And I spent A LOT of time with him but my tops temps feel amazing! So much better in then without. I couldn’t be happier (well until I get my snap ons in a few months). https://www.cancundentalspecialists.com/
Darci P. thank you very much for the info

Also I added in my hotel and air . The totals is close to what can pay here at home .
This I find is a big surprise.
Carol S. I went to
Cancun Dental Specialists.
Darci P. ..thanks for sharing
Carol S. absolutely. I stayed a little extra longer and felt like I came away with so many friends. Doctors concentrated on me and only me until it was perfect. When we go back for my perms, hubby is going to have some work done and my youngest needs cavities filled and a baby tooth pulled and then teeth cleaning/whitening for both. My son is autistic and we have already been working on a plan to help him through it without knocking him out. Last time I had a dentist use nitrous on him nobody paid attention to how much he was getting and his O2 Sat’s were in the 60’s. Nobody seemed upset at all till I stepped in and said stop everything and get high flow O2 on board NOW or I’ll be calling 911. It was obvious they had no idea how to handle breathing emergencies other than what they learned in a book. That scared me and as soon as we got to a point that it was safe to finish the current work we were out and not coming back! I talked at length with the office in Cancun and they have a tech that has a son that’s autistic and so she’ll be assisting and the doctor is giving him a tour of it all first. I TRUST them!
Don’t go to Mexico for dental work
KaBebe N. why?
KaBebe N. .. why not go to Mexico..
Other the fact that the United States prices are all over the place..
Because Mexico doesn’t have the same rules and protocols as America. Meaning the US has HIPPA and OSHA regulations. What hospital, doctors, and any medical facilities have to abide by. Mexico and other foreign countries don’t/might not have the same… Not trying to bash Mexico! I absolutely love Mexico! But they do not have the same or better rules and regulations as America has
I’m a Dentist. When it comes to prices in Dental field it all depends on your insurance. There’s a dental insurance prices, there’s a cash patient prices, and Medicaid pricing (child and adult Medicaid prices are different)
KaBebe N. actually my dentists were all trained in the US and have continuing education at many of the larger universities which is easy to verify. All of mine belonged to ADA and they were very open to show me their records of sterilizing records and yes I did look since my background is EMS and Surgery (20+years). They had top of the line anesthesia machines that are in current use here in the US. Their sterile technique was excellent. And my doctors all have valid licenses in the US AND Mexico. Both countries will have their crackpots but finding a good clinic in both countries is key and I absolutely got better care there then I ever have here in the US. You want people to stay and get their work done in the US then you and your colleagues need to get on the bandwagon and help patients fight for better coverage that actually helps patients! As it is dental insurance is absolute bullshit with the prices most places charge. Until then I will continue to go back to the fantastic staff for any additional work I or my family may need.
KaBebe N. .. you have given me a lot to very think about , I have thought a lot about what you have just told me.
Well I seriously need this done , as you know your teeth effect your health.
Min are considered pretty bad , they just fall out while eating.
You see I suffer from acid reflux. Most of my life starting at the age of 17, now a senior.
I have lived with out a stomach since 2007
Unfortunately my Vegas nerve was nicked.
So the stomach became paralyzed. Out it went. I fault extremely hard for the first five years , then as each year has passed, I have just gotten use to this life of how food has to be done.. so I am not concerned about that.
KaBebe Actually, They are usually taught and trained in The U.S. , stop dissing an entire country and people can look into each DENTIST directly. NO PROFESSIONAL upstanding dentist isnt doing shotty work and HIPPA doesnt have anything to do with procedures, has to do with protecting health information. OSHA does regulations in America, Mexico has thier own.
KaBebe N. America’s health care prices are laughable, its a For profit Business and far less expensive in any other country
I would recommend Dentic’s Cancun, Cancun Mexico. Dr Sanchez is great.
Thank you for that comment because that’s where I’m going to be going in a couple of months
Just got back from Costa Rica, I will never have anymore major dental work done in the US it’s off to Costa Rica for me, had $70k worth of dental implants with zirconia dentures full mouth reconstruction done for $18K in Costa Rica.
